Steven Frank, 59, of Walhalla, ND, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at the Walhalla Lutheran Church in Walhalla, ND. Visitation will be held at the church for one hour before the time of services. Melvin Steven Frank was born to Ida Hell and Melvin Frank in Cavalier, ND. Steven grew up in Walhalla, ND where he would mow grass, run errands for the locals, and work in the potatoes. He graduated in 1982 from Walhalla High School and went to an AVTI with a degree in welding. Later, Steven went to work with his Uncle Gordan in the twin cities learning drywall, taping, and painting. After leaving the cities, he moved to Warroad, MN and started his own drywall business. During his 27 years there, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding wheelers and snowmobiles. Steven also loved working on cars, racing in the northern circuit, and watching Nascar. Eventually, he moved back home to Walhalla in 2015. He enjoyed being in the vegetable garden, campfires, spending time with his significant other Colleen Kittelson and of course playing keno and pulling tabs. Steven was well known for his joking around and wonderful sense of humor. He cared deeply for his family and his many friends. Steven is survived by his daughters Jessica Lordson, Surrey, ND, Dawn Meyer, Roseau, MN, and Lynsey Maloney, Ironton, MN; His significant other, Colleen Kittelson, Walhalla, ND; sister, Melanie Mostad, Fargo, ND; grandchildren Jayleigh, Jaycey, Jaygyn, Landen, Addisyn, Brody, Savannah, Gage, Jace, and Adelynn; and many nieces and nephews. Steven is preceded in death by his parents, Ida Berg and Melvin Frank; sisters Gloria Jerome and her husband Robert, and Holly Grengs; his brother Danny St. Vincent; and nephews Chad Jerome and Shawn Jerome.
