 Dolores P. Indridson, 97, of Cavalier, ND passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at the Pembilier Nursing Center, Walhalla, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, June 26, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Brigid of Ireland Catholic Church in Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday, June 25th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service. Dolores was born April 20, 1926, to William J. and Alma M. (Martineau) Gibson. She graduated from Cavalier High School in 1945 and then from St. Lukes School of Nursing in Fargo in 1948. She worked at the Cavalier Clinic for 40 years, retiring in 1990. On November 28, 1949, she married Duane P. “Dewey” Indridson at Cavalier. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, baking, attending Daily Mass, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Connie L. (Silas) Rawls, Fargo, ND, daughter-in-law, Val Indridson, Cavalier, ND, grandchildren: Kristin Sharp (Tony Nelson), Mindy Indridson, Miranda (Brett) Scholler, Justin (Angie) Rawls, and Zachary (Kendra) Rawls, great-grandchildren: Micayla, Zoey and Winney, Kinzee and Paityn, Kelly, and Haley, Wesley and Kody, great-great granddaughter, Paisleigh and brother, Pete Gibson. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Duane P. “Dewey”, son, Duane R. “Butch”, and siblings, Bill Gibson, Mae Lawonn, and Mary Ellen Ault.

 Kelly G. Woinarowicz, 59, of Grand Forks, ND, and formerly of Grafton, ND, passed away at his home of natural causes on January 1, 2023.
Kelly was born on August 12, 1963, in Grafton, ND, the son of the late Roman and Eloise Woinarowicz. He graduated from Grafton Central High School and attended the North Dakota State College of Science. Kelly was a loving and caring brother and he will be remembered for his kind and gentle spirit, his quick wit and intelligence, and his strong belief in God. He is survived by his siblings: Mark (Tammy) Woinarowicz, Spring Creek, NV; Rachel (Barry) Lund, Mount Washington, KY; Becky (Ken) Wilson, Castle Rock, CO; Denise (Mark Suda) Henriksen, Cummings, ND; and Roman (Cheryll) Woinarowicz, Oslo, MN, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Lynn Woinarowicz. Funeral services will be held at St. John's Catholic Church on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 10:30 AM. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.  David Roy Johnson, of Park River, ND, died June 18, 2023, at the age of 71 in First Care Health Center in Park River.
David (Davie) was born January 5, 1952, in Park River, to Hilma (Gorder) Johnson and John (“Jack”) M. Johnson. He was baptized at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Park River and grew up with three sisters and four brothers. Davie attended the Walsh County Agricultural School in Park River and worked for over a decade for Percy Walstad, starting at 14 years old. For most of his life (35 years) he worked for BNSF Railroad, traveling many miles to work at locations across the country, retiring in 2014. Davie enjoyed classic cars and going to RV and car shows with his brothers. Although he wintered many years in Mesa, AZ, he always maintained Park River as his home. Davie’s closest family members were his sisters and brothers, especially those who lived in Park River. He was a faithful member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran church in Park River, whose parking lot he was instrumental in paving. Davie is survived by three brothers: Lorn Johnson (Barb) of Dallas, OR, John D. Johnson (Audrey) of Park River, ND, and Roger Johnson (Katie) of Park River. Davie was preceded in death by his parents, Hilma and John M. Johnson; four sisters, Melvina Johnson, Donna Conroy, Jean Brateng, and Judy Troftgruben; and one brother, Duane Johnson. Davie’s funeral will take place on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 129 Harris Ave S, in Park River. Visitation will be an hour before the service. Inurnment will be at the Park River Memorial Park Cemetery.  Deloris Jean was born December 9, 1933, the only child, to Emil Saiger and Erna Lindenburger Saiger at Pembina, ND. She moved to the Bathgate area in 1936.
Mom attended public school in Bathgate and took piano lessons at the State School for the Blind. Once her hands started going in different directions, Mom said she was done. She graduated from Bathgate Public School in 1951, earning the honor of valedictorian, enrolled in the Deaconess School of Nursing, and graduated in 1954. Mom worked at the Grand Forks Clinic for 3 ½ years and ventured to Honolulu, Hawaii, where she was a nurse at the Kuakini Hospital for 3 years. Mom married Dad, Karl Henschel, on October 6th of 1961 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Grand Forks. They moved to the Bathgate area in 1962. Dad was farming, and they spent the winters in Grand Forks from 1964-1967. In 1968, they built a house on her parents’ farm east of Bathgate that still stands today. Mom and Dad farmed until 1992. After Kelly, Karla, and Karmen were born, the folks stayed in the Bathgate area to live and work. Mom worked countless hours doing fieldwork after her dad passed in 1944. She spent many years on the Bathgate Election Board and briefly worked nights at the Pioneer Rest Home. Her many talents included macrame, counted cross-stitch, and baking, all of which she shared with family, friends, and the Pembina County Fair. Mom and Dad enjoyed playing cards with relatives in Cavalier and weekly games of Smear, the game of choice, were held at Reiny’s Bar in Bathgate. Deloris is survived by her husband Karl, who resides at Wedgewood Manor in Cavalier; Kelly (Jayme) Henschel, Pembina, ND, Karla (Amy) Henschel, Bathgate, ND, Karmen Ruffatto, Columbus, MT, Deb Henschel, Vergas, MN, Jeff Ruffatto, Columbus, MT; her grandchildren Kassondra (Darren) Henschel, Vergas, MN, Megan (Justin) Graten, Perham, Joanna (Chandler) Wickham, Billings, MT, Kari Ruffatto, Columbus, MT, Laightyn Henschel, Mesa, AZ; great-grandchildren Charlie and Millie Graten; and sister-in-law Ruth Tully, Bismarck, ND, and sister-in-law Hattie Henschel, Grafton, ND. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Preceding Deloris in death were her parents. Family would like to extend special thanks to Leah Austfjord, Donna Thom, and Michelle Hardy for arranging transportation when we just couldn’t make it, the staff at Pembina County Memorial Hospital and Clinicare, those at Country Estates who gave Mom so much joy, and all who shared Mom’s journey at Pembilier Nursing Center in Walhalla, ND. Our family has been blessed in so many ways by your kindness. Deloris Jean Henschel, 89, of Bathgate, ND passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Pembilier Nursing Center in Walhalla, ND. Funeral service will be held, Friday, June 16, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Lutheran Church in Cavalier, ND. Kenneth A. Olson, age 91, passed away February 17, 2023 at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavalier, ND. He was born June 16, 1931 in Concrete, ND to Carl and Emily (McKay) Olson. He attended grade school in the Concrete Country School, high school in Cavalier, ND, and transferred to the Park River Ag School his junior year. He played football and was a member of the FFA. He received the State Dairy Farmer Award and was on the Stock Judging Team. His motto his senior year was, "I'm a man of few words." He worked on the family farm until he joined the Army. He was on active duty in Okinawa from February 1953 to January 1955 as a cook then returned to the family farm. In May of 1967, he went to work for John Deere in Cavalier as a mechanic and took a part-time job for Pinkerton's as a security guard at the Par Site near Concrete. In 1972 he started working at the Par Site Fire Department, serving as Fire Chief. He later returned to the John Deere shop full time and was made shop foreman. He retired in 2002 but would still go in occasionally to help. Ken loved to visit, stopping at the John Deere shop every Wednesday as well as gathering with family for lunch. He enjoyed working in his yard, fixing equipment, watching nature, and walking. Family was important to him. He lived at home independently until last fall when his health no longer allowed it. He then moved to Borg Home in Mountain, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Emily Olson and his brother Ernest. He is survived by his brother Howard (Anna Lee) of Concrete and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. A memorial service will be held on June 16, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at United Lutheran Church in Cavalier, ND, with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery.  *****Update*******
Bradford "Bob" Carl Doescher was born November 11, 1945, in Langdon, ND, to George and Alice (Lundquist) Doescher. He went to school in Alsen and Loma and then entered the US Army, where he served as a medic. After being honorably discharged in 1966, Bob did cement work in Tempe, AZ, before returning to Langdon. He did ag jobs and cement masonry for various employers. Bob’s favorite activity was visiting with family and friends. Surviving Bob are his sister, Linda (Merle “Pinky”) Padden, of Hawley, MN; brother Steve Doescher of Canton, OH; sister-in-law Virginia Doescher; one niece; five nephews; three great-nieces; two great-nephews; and two great-great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Doug and Jim, and nephew Eric Padden. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Loma Cemetery.  Ann Baldwin Burgess, 80, of Cavalier, ND passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Wedgewood Manor in Cavalier. A memorial service will be held Monday, June 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Cavalier. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:30 a.m. until the time of services.

Yvette D. Beauchamp was born January 27, 1934, at Olga, ND to Avila and Eva Beauchamp. She grew up in Olga, where she attended school. Yvette then worked as a nurse’s aide in the hospital in Cavalier and Langdon, ND. On August 12, 1958, she married Rudolph Kram at Olga, ND. After their marriage they made their home in Walhalla. She later made her home at the Country Estates in Cavalier and then the Pembilier Nursing Center in Walhalla. Yvette enjoyed cooking, sewing and embroidery. She was a member of the St. Boniface Altar Society, Walhalla American Legion Auxiliary, and the Pembina County Right to Life. She is survived by her children: Karen (Pat) Restad, Adams, ND, Barb (Wayne) Chale, Pembina, ND, Patricia Kram, Grafton, ND, Diane (Keith) Due, Cavalier, ND, Dean (Janie) Kram, Walhalla, ND, daughter-in-law, Kathy Kram; grandchildren: Britney (Chris) Litton, Kelly (Kailey) Restad, Blaine (Taylor) Restad, Krista (Chance) Sveen, Bradey (Miranda) Restad, Amanda (Andy) Horsley, Matthew Chale, Nicholas (Kayla) Due, Tyler Due and fiancée, Morgyn Hendricks, Tanner Due, and 18 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings: Victor (Joyce) Beauchamp, Marie (Ben) Kartes, Alyce Kartes, Loretta Quarm, and Yvonne (Jim) Kartes. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Rudolph, son Kelly, and four brothers and five sisters. |
