Keith R. Hildebrandt, age 42 of Grafton, ND passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Unity Medical Center of Grafton.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, March 4, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the spring.

Jon Osowski, age 61 of Grafton, ND passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at his home in Grafton. Jon Osowski was born May 31, 1962 in Grafton, ND the son of the late Hilary and Jeanette (Dolan) Osowski. He grew up and attended school in Grafton. Following his education here he attended the AVTI in Thief River Falls for Auto Mechanics. He returned to Grafton and worked as an auto mechanic for various shops in the area. He was currently working as an auto detailer for Hanson’s Auto in Grafton. Jon enjoyed fishing and camping and was an accomplished artist. Jon is survived by his brothers: Alan, Dave (Larae), Mark (Carol), and Lee (Lori) Osowski all of Grafton, ND; his sister-in-law, Kerry Osowski, Mesa, AZ and special friend Jodi McCarthy, Grafton, ND. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Tim and sister-in-law, Gail Osowski. Mass of Christian burial will be Monday, April 1, 2024 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Rose, age 66 of Grafton, passed away Monday, February 26, 2024 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton. Greg J. Rose was born July 29, 1957 in Grafton, North Dakota, the son of the late Joe and Marjorie (Ganyo) Rose. He grew up and attended school in Grafton. After his schooling he began bagging groceries at the Piggly Wiggly in Grafton and later learned how to cut meat. He continued working as a meat cutter for Walt’s Jack and Jill, Denny’s Jack and Jill and Gillespie’s Meat Market, later changing to McGregor’s Meat Market. Greg was united in marriage to Sandra Welsh on July 16, 1977 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Grafton. The couple made their home in Grafton and raised their son Tim. At the age of 29, Greg’s health forced him to retire from McGregor’s Meat Market. Greg then became a stay-at-home dad where he loved taking care of Tim and creating many wonderful memories with him. On November 3, 2005 Greg moved to the Lutheran Sunset Home. He was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Greg loved to spend time with his family. He loved to ride bike with Tim, cruising around town and looking at cars. He depended on his computer for everything, especially crossword puzzles and reading. Greg is survived by his wife, Sandy Rose, Grafton, ND; his son, Tim Rose; his siblings: Connie (Gary) Knapp, Cadillac, MI; Cordell Rose, Grafton, ND; Mark Rose, Redwood Falls, MN; C.J. Steven Frank, 59, of Walhalla, ND, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at the Walhalla Lutheran Church in Walhalla, ND. Visitation will be held at the church for one hour before the time of services. Melvin Steven Frank was born to Ida Hell and Melvin Frank in Cavalier, ND. Steven grew up in Walhalla, ND where he would mow grass, run errands for the locals, and work in the potatoes. He graduated in 1982 from Walhalla High School and went to an AVTI with a degree in welding. Later, Steven went to work with his Uncle Gordan in the twin cities learning drywall, taping, and painting. After leaving the cities, he moved to Warroad, MN and started his own drywall business. During his 27 years there, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding wheelers and snowmobiles. Steven also loved working on cars, racing in the northern circuit, and watching Nascar. Eventually, he moved back home to Walhalla in 2015. He enjoyed being in the vegetable garden, campfires, spending time with his significant other Colleen Kittelson and of course playing keno and pulling tabs. Steven was well known for his joking around and wonderful sense of humor. He cared deeply for his family and his many friends. Steven is survived by his daughters Jessica Lordson, Surrey, ND, Dawn Meyer, Roseau, MN, and Lynsey Maloney, Ironton, MN; His significant other, Colleen Kittelson, Walhalla, ND; sister, Melanie Mostad, Fargo, ND; grandchildren Jayleigh, Jaycey, Jaygyn, Landen, Addisyn, Brody, Savannah, Gage, Jace, and Adelynn; and many nieces and nephews. Steven is preceded in death by his parents, Ida Berg and Melvin Frank; sisters Gloria Jerome and her husband Robert, and Holly Grengs; his brother Danny St. Vincent; and nephews Chad Jerome and Shawn Jerome. James K. Well, 85, formerly of Cavalier, ND. passed away Friday, February 23, 2024 at Haven Homes in Maple Plain, Minnesota. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anna Schurman, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and member of the Walhalla community. Anna was 85, she passed Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Altru Health System in Grand Forks, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 23, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Walhalla, ND. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 22, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the church. Anna Klaus was born November 23, 1938, in Dulaves, Croatia to Anton & Helen (Peterfaj) Klaus. Anna was born during the onset of WWII and spent the next years fleeing the Nazi’s with her mother and siblings until the family immigrated to America through the grace of the Catholic Organization in 1952, settling in Los Angeles, CA. Anna finished High School and moved to Cherry Valley in 1956 where she met the love of her life, Hod Schurman and the two were married in 1958. They started a family soon after marriage in Banning, CA having three children, Erika (Mark) Bjornstad, Hod Jr. (Kristie) Schurman and Bridgette (Steven) Schwartz. She then studied cosmetology and she worked in that field until they moved to Leyden, ND in 1971 and began the family farm. In addition to their three children, Anna and Hod farmed and raised livestock, Anna lived the life of a farm wife, ensuring everyone had full bellies and Hod was always welcomed home from the field. In addition to those two full time jobs, she worked at Thompson’s Bakery and later at Jerry’s Super Value until retirement. Anna loved being a Mother and Omi. She knitted slippers for her grandchildren and made pillows for anyone that asked. She was dedicated to her faith, praying the rosary daily and attending Mass at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Walhalla regularly. She was well known for her beautiful garden and her magic in the kitchen crafting traditional European dishes. She was incredibly kind with an innocent sense of humor. Anna will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her love and legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She was an incredible Omi to 9 grandchildren and to 14 great-grandchildren: Jeff (Joshlyn) Bjornstad and their children Brexten and Karter; Brittany (David) Vaughn and their children Wyatt, Remington, and Hope; Scott (Leslie) Schwartz and their children Sawyer and Cooper; Travis (Shannon) Bjornstad and their children Berit, Gus, and Olin; Rebecca Neumann and her son Rudy; Joshua (Shannon) Schwartz and their son Ardie; Brett (Lexi) Schurman; Brooke (Ashten) McKay and their children Gunner and Harper; and Jesse Schurman. She is survived by her children & grandchildren, twin sister, Mira (John) Johnston, Wenatchee WA, sister Erika (Jim) Franklin of Ellensburg WA, sister-in-law Terry Klaus of Crystal River, FL; and numerous nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Hod; her parents, Anton & Helen; and brother, Tony. Thomas J. Moore September 28, 1951 — February 10, 2024 Mountain, ND Thomas J.
