Rolland C. Beauchamp, 90, Fargo, ND and formerly of Walhalla, ND passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley at Eventide Care Center in Fargo, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 2, 2019, at the St Boniface Catholic Church in Walhalla, ND. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 6:45 p.m. Rosary and 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the church. Interment will be held in the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Walhalla.
     Rolland C. Beauchamp was born October 29, 1928, to Aristide and Cordelia (Gendreau) Beauchamp. He was born and raised on the family farm north of Olga, ND, with ten brothers and sisters. He graduated from the eighth grade from Olga Public School then started farming with his dad and his brother, Richard. On June 20, 1962, he married Lorraine Zettel.
     He loved spending time with his family, farming, doing carpentry work, gardening, canning, baking, decorating for Christmas, and entertaining. He was known for his ability to require perfection with his work. In 1990, he retired from farming and moved into Walhalla in 1996. Due to failing health, Rolland and Lorraine moved to Fargo in 2017. Rolland moved to the Eventide Care Center in February of 2019.
     He was an active member of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Olga and St. Boniface Catholic Church of Walhalla. Rolland was a member of the Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus. He served as a Trustee and Eucharistic Minister for many years at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church.
     Survivors include his wife, Lorraine; children: Lorrie (Bradley) Berg, Fargo, ND, Kimberly (Arthur) Hotten, Underwood, ND, Cory Beauchamp, Wahpeton, ND; grandchildren: Amanda Berg, Tyler Hotten, Megan Hotten, and Jacob Beauchamp; sister Lorraine (Orlo) Mostad; brothers: Hector, Remi (Betty), and Edmund (Ruth); sister-in-law Margie Beauchamp; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
    Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters and brothers-in-law: Jannette and Orphela Lepire, Doris and Oscar Marcelin, Marcella and Barry Belanus; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Omer Beauchamp, Harvey Beauchamp, Richard and Rita Beauchamp, and Charlotte Beauchamp.

Dorothy Ann Peterson, age, 79 of Grayson, GA and formerly from Los Angeles, CA, but originally from Gardar, ND passed away on June 22, 2019, while at Benton House of Grayson, a Senior Living Facility where she had resided for the past year and a half.  
Dorothy Einarson was born November 21, 1939 in Grafton, ND the daughter of late Huskuldur and Gudrun Einarson.  She was raised and attended school in Gardar, ND, graduating from Gardar High School in 1957.  Dorothy attended Mayville State University and obtained her teaching certificate in 1958.  She later attended beauty school and became a hairdresser in 1960, and worked in the beauty industry for several years.  Dorothy married Kristjan Harold Peterson on June 18, 1960 in Gardar, ND.  After they were married, Kristjan Dorothy and ventured out to Los Angeles, CA, where they worked and raised their family.   
Dorothy returned to college in the mid 70’s for nursing.  She received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Los Angeles Valley College and then completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Management from University of La Verna, California.  Dorothy enjoyed being a Registered Nurse and made many lifelong friends while working at Panorama Community Hospital in Los Angeles, CA.   
Dorothy will be fondly remembered for her vibrant spirit, stylish dress, glamorous makeup and flashy jewelry.  She was musically inclined, playing the piano and trombone, and was known to yodel.  Dorothy loved “Community Doings” in Gardar and was always one of the Gardar Girls! She loved to dance, especially when there was a good band playing.  She was an enthusiastic supporter of any performance by her children and grandchildren and LOVED a good party, especially if there was decorating involved.  She always had a big smile to share with the ones she loved, friends and family alike, but Dorothy loved her family above all and always put their needs before her own.  She loved to shop with Sheri, bake with Kristjana, watch TV with Tyler, and color or play bubbles with Brynja.  She loved to talk on the phone with Dan and Mike to hear the latest of what was going on with them.  She always had a big HUG for Sean. 
Dorothy is survived by her children Michael Peterson, Daniel Peterson, and Sheri (Sean) Maxwell; grandchildren Kristjana Maxwell, Tyler Maxwell, and Brynja Maxwell; her siblings Evelyn (Kenneth) Holand and Linda Palmer and sister-in-law Kristine Koehmstedt.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings: Elizabeth Einarson and Virginia Tetrault.   
Memorial Services will be Friday, August 2, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Pioneer Lutheran Church of rural Gardar, ND. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at Pioneer Lutheran Cemetery, Gardar, ND and a Celebration of Her Life to follow at the Gardar Lutheran Church Basement.  Please dress in your most fun clothes and jewelry and join us for a celebration of Dorothy (Dottie) Peterson. 

Anna Margaret (Stensland) Thompson, 87, of Drayton, ND passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Lutheran Sunset Home in Grafton, ND.
Anna Margaret was born July 17, 1932 in Drayton, ND to Pastor Osmund and Anna (Oveson) Stensland. She was baptized and confirmed at Skjeberg Lutheran Church. She was very proud to be a pastor’s daughter. Anna Margaret attended school at Tien Country School and Kennedy, MN. She graduated high school in 1950 at Kasson, MN. After graduation, Anna Margaret worked for a time as a nurse’s aide in Rochester, MN. In 1952 she  married Harris Olson. They returned to Drayton where they made their home. Anna Margaret worked for many years at the Drayton Hospital and 
Clinic. She worked for several doctors in Drayton from Dr. Waldron to Dr. Meyer. Later in life she worked at Curnal’s Drive-In and Associated Potato Growers. In 1973 she married Bob Thompson. Bob and Anna Margaret continued to live in Drayton and also enjoyed spending time at their summer place at Rocky Point on Lake of the Woods. Anna Margaret loved spending time with family. She enjoyed knitting, needle point, cooking and baking, reading books, and putting together jigsaw puzzles.The highlight of her week was going to bible study led by Jon Dryburgh. She loved cheering for her favorite team, the Minnesota Twins and playing the occasional bingo and card game with friends at Tisdale Manor.
Anna Margaret is survived by her children - Nancy (Todd) Woinarowicz, Drayton, ND; Richard (Susan) Thompson, Mascoutah, IL; Robert (Joanne) Thompson, Morris, MN; Shelly (Mike) Stewart, Baudette, MN; Renae (Ron) Tveit, Warroad, MN.  Grandchildren – Dylan Woinarowicz, Kim (Michael) Magathan, Kara (Jonathan) Loden, Kelly (Thomas) Beasley, Kristen (Craig) Meng, Allison (Dan) Lenmark, Angie (Kyle) Vershey, Alissa (Barnaby) Allen, Justin (Sara) Tveit, Whitney (Grant) Rasmussen, along with  21 Great Grandchildren. Sisters - Ruth Stevens and Mary Ellen Larson, and several nieces and nephews.Anna Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, daughter Becky, great granddaughter Sophia Lenmark, brothers John, Norman, and Osmund Stensland, sisters Gertrud Hollander, Alice Stensland, and two infant daughters.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Drayton Lutheran Church, Drayton, ND. Visitation will be Thursday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the Drayton City Cemetery. 

Ralph Lee Haase, age 62 of Minto, ND passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at the First Care Health Center of Park River.
Ralph Haase was born October 5, 1956 in Washington, the son of Roy Haase and Bernice (Carlson) Yates. He grew up and attended school there. He enlisted in the US Army in 1973 and served until 1976. Following his discharge he moved to North Dakota. He worked several places, most recently as a welder for Hill’s, Inc. in Grafton.
He was a member of the Manvel American Legion. He enjoyed riding his Harley and spending time with friends.
Ralph is survived by his son Anthony Haase, Grafton, ND, mother Bernice Yates, sister Janice Herrick and brother Richard Haase, all of Washington, and step-daughter Jessica Cruse, Lakota, ND.
Memorial services will be Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. at the Minto Community Center of Minto, ND. Visitation will be from 5-7 at the Community Center. Military rites will be provided by the Manvel American Legion Post and the North Dakota National Guard Honor Guard.

Louise S. Hoffman, age 83 of Grafton, ND passed away on Monday, July 22, 2019 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton.
Louise S. Gerszewski was born October 23, 1935 in Oslo, MN, the daughter of the late Julius and Rose (Feltman) Gerszewski. She grew up and attended rural school in Walshville Township. She was united in marriage to Raphael John Hoffman on April 5, 1961 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Oslo. The couple lived in Drayton, ND and later in Grafton, ND. Louise was employed at the Midtown Motel for several years. Raphael passed away on March 11, 1994.
Louise was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and Altar Society of Grafton.
Louise is survived by several extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Raphael.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 26, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the St. John’s Catholic Cemetery of Grafton.

Daniel L. Siewert, age 60 of Grand Forks, ND and formerly St. Thomas, ND passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at the Sanford Health Center of Fargo.
Daniel was born January 1, 1959 in Grafton, ND the son of Wayne Siewert and Donna Dusterhoft Siewert.  He was raised and attended school in St. Thomas, ND.  He graduated from St. Thomas High School. Daniel then began his career as a carpenter.  Daniel loved carpentry and was a very talented woodworker.  He loved western movies and listening to classic rock and country music. He moved to Dallas, TX, where he and his then wife (the late Darlene Jelinek) had two children. He also loved target shooting, country drives, banana milkshakes, and making people laugh. He was so resourceful and had a solution to almost anything that needed to be fixed.
Daniel is survived by his children: Shawna (Peter) Siewert Zellmann, West Fargo, ND, Danson Siewert, Grand Forks, ND; grandson: Ethan Siewert (Heiden), West Fargo, ND; mother: Donna Siewert, St. Thomas, ND; siblings: Denise (Dennis) Sevigny, Grafton, ND; Diane (Paul) Schuster, Manvel, ND, Dennis Siewert, Fargo, ND, and several nieces, nephews, and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father: Wayne Siewert, and brothers: David Siewert, and his twin, Douglas Siewert.
Memorial Services will be Monday, July 29, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of rural St. Thomas, ND. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, rural St. Thomas, ND.

Mary Jean Altendorf, age 85 of Minto, ND passed away Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the Unity Medical Center of Grafton surrounded by family.
Mary Jean Korczak was born November 5, 1933, at the Deaconess Hospital of Grafton, North Dakota, the daughter of the late Anton and Victoria (Marynik) Korczak.  She attended school near Warsaw and received her sacraments at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.  Mary Jean was united in marriage to Leo Altendorf on November 6, 1951at St. Stanislaus in Warsaw, North Dakota.  The couple made their home and farmed east of Grafton.  Later they moved to Trail, Minnesota where Mary Jean owned and operated Mary’s Café until 1982.  She continued to work at Trail General Store and did a lot of volunteer work until her retirement.  After Leo’s death in 1992, she continued to live in Trail and be active in VFW Auxiliary, Trail Community Club, St. Francis Xavier Church, Oklee, MN and the Quilters Club.  She loved to play bingo and trips to the casino with her friends.  She enjoyed gardening, sewing, painting, yard work, embroidery, cooking, baking, knitting and playing cards.
In April of 2018, because of health reasons, Mary Jean moved back to Minto, ND to be close to family and friends.  She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Minto, ND.
Mary Jean is survived by her sister, Alice Stancyk, Thief River Falls, MN; brothers:  Henry (Janice) Korczak, Grand Forks, ND; Greg (Genevieve) Korczak, Las Vegas, NV; sister-in-law:  Rose Altendorf, Grand Forks, ND and brother-in-law: Elmer (Doris) Altendorf, Minto, ND.  She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo; brother, Sylvester Korczak; sister, Helen Osowski; brother-in-law, Ray Altendorf and nephews: Martin Altendorf and Dennis Altendorf.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Minto.  Visitation will be on Wednesday for one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Oakwood, ND.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Unity Hospital Foundation, 164 West 13th Street, Grafton, ND 58237.

Carol Jean Hensrud, age 67 of Grafton, North Dakota, entered the presence of Jesus on Sunday, July 21, 2019 after an eighteen year battle with colon cancer.  She goes home to her Redeemer and can celebrate her favorite verse John 3:16 with Him in eternity.
Carol was born on December 13, 1951 to Paul and Merle (Nielson) Fedje in Bottineau, ND.  She grew up in Hoople, ND with her three sisters:  Mary Jo, Jo and Diane.  She was married to Dave Hensrud on August 5, 1979 and was blessed with three boys: Paul, Mark and Thomas and four grandchildren.
Carol attended Concordia College and taught in East Grand Forks and St. Thomas Public Schools.  She was an active member of Bethel Free Lutheran Church, Grafton and many other community activities.
She is survived by her husband Dave Hensrud, Grafton, ND; sons: Paul (Naomi) Hensrud, Grand Forks, ND; Mark (Andrea) Hensrud, Harwood, ND; Thomas (Kasey) Hensrud, Apple Valley, MN; grandchildren:  Graeham, Syneva, Charlee Jo and Logan; her mother, Merle Fedje, Grafton, ND and sisters:  Mary Jo (Nick) Hall, Grafton, ND; Jo Keller, Vergas, MN and Diane (Ray) Weisgarber, Green Valley, AZ.  She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Fedje and brother-in-law, Bob Keller.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Bethel Free Lutheran Church, Grafton, ND.  Visitation will be on Monday from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton.  Friends may call at the church on Tuesday for one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be at the Crescent Cemetery, Grafton, ND.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Altru Hospice or CaringBridge.

Kevin L. Crosthwaite, 56, of San Diego, CA passed away July 8, 2019 in San Diego.
     Kevin was born October 10, 1962 at Oakland, CA to Ronald and Betty Colleen (Paxman) Crosthwaite. He grew up in San Diego where he lived his entire life and worked in the computer industry. Kevin loved animals and camping.
      His is survived by his father, Ronald Crosthwaite, Venice, FL; aunt, Sharon McMillian, Hamilton, ND. He is also survived by several cousins.
     Preceding him in death was his mother, Betty.
     A service for Kevin will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Askew Funeral Home in Cavalier, ND. Burial will be held in the Hamilton Cemetery.

Betty Colleen Crosthwaite, 85, of San Diego, CA and formerly of Hamilton, ND died on November 7, 2018 at San Diego.
     Betty Colleen Paxman was born August 5, 1933 at Grafton, ND. to Gordon L. and Mary (Bates) Paxman. She grew up at Hamilton, ND and graduated from Hamilton High School. She then attended Aaker Business College in Grand Forks, ND and later moved to California. She married Ron Crosthwaite and they had one son, Kevin. While in San Diego she worked at See’s Candy. Betty was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
    She was survived by her son, Kevin, San Diego, CA; sister, Sharon McMillan, Hamilton, ND and several nieces and nephews.
     Preceding her in death were her parents: sisters: Shirley, Patricia, and Maureen; brothers: Gary, Bruce, and George.
     A service for Betty  will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Askew Funeral Home in Cavalier, ND. Burial will be held in the Hamilton Cemetery.
