 Bonnie J. Halldorson, age 78 of Edinburg, ND passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at the First Care Health Center of Park River.
Bonnie Jean Pederson was born December 3, 1943 in Grafton, ND the daughter of the late Clarence and Irene (Ferguson) Pederson. She grew up and attended school in Park River, ND. Bonnie was united in marriage to Robert Halldorson on November 12, 1961 in Mountain, ND. The couple made their home in Edinburg where Bonnie worked for Windingland Potato. She later went to work for Potato Sales in Park River and worked there for 28 years until her health forced her to retire. Bonnie served as the League Secretary for the Edinburg Bowling League for many years. She was a member of the local homemakers group and enjoyed playing cards and board games. She also enjoyed doing embroidery and hardanger. Bonnie is survived by her husband Robert of Edinburg, ND; her children: Jeanne (Mark) Carson, Hoople, ND; Dean (Tammy) Halldorson, Conway, ND; Melanie (Jason) Reidhammer, Langdon, ND; Jennifer Reidhammer, Grafton, ND; her grandchildren: Rebecca, Melissa, Robert, Rachel, Amanda, Julie, Adrianna, Lily, Jaymee, Christopher, Tara and Zachary; seven great grandchildren with two more on the way; her brothers: Marvin (Janet) Pederson, Hastings, MN and Clair (Linda) Pederson, Dresser, WI. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Clifford and infant sister, Helen Ann. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Edinburg, ND. Visitation will be Tuesday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Mountain City Cemetery, Mountain, ND. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials to the Trinity Lutheran Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.

 Jon D. Boe, age 57 of West Fargo, ND, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at his home.
Jon Boe was born June 9, 1965 in Park River, ND, the son of Donald and Dorothy (Ellingson) Boe. He grew up and attended school in Adams, graduating from Adams High School. Following his education, he moved to Fargo where he worked for Fargo Glass & Paint Company. He was united in marriage to Michaelene Vetter in 1985. The couple had one son, Max. In 1993, he married Terri Horsley and lived in Mapleton. He then returned to Adams and farmed for a few years. Later, moving back to Mapleton, where he was employed as a manager of Northwest Tire in Grand Forks. He later became employed at American Tire Distributors, in Fargo. He was a member of the Adams Mountain Lutheran Church and the Sons of the American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling with his friends; and loved all kinds of music. Jon had a gift to make other’s laugh with his stories and jokes. He also had a special kindness to others in need. He helped others even when he appeared to have nothing left; always giving what he could. Jon is survived by his son, Max (Rheannon) Boe, Springtown, TX and their three daughters: Easton, Ellisyn and Emersyn; step-children: Rebecca Elliot and Dustin Elliot, both of Fargo, ND; 7 step-grandchildren; his parents: Donald and Dorothy Boe, Adams, ND; siblings: Gary (Karen) Boe, Adams, ND and Dawn (Tim) Lundquist, Mahtomedi, MN, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Adams Mountain Lutheran Church. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Vang Lutheran Cemetery or West Adams Cemetery.  Kelly Kram, 61, of Walhalla, ND, born into eternal life, Friday, August 26, 2022, at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavalier, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 2, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Walhalla, ND. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 1, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Vigil service at the church. Burial will be held in the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery.
Kelly Joseph “Jo-Jo” Kram was born into the world on April 10th, 1961 to Rudolph and Yvette (Beauchamp) Kram in Cavalier, ND. Kelly attended Walhalla High School and graduated in 1981. He held various jobs including welding and metal cutting for Reggie Robertson at Robertson Metal Recycling in Hettinger, ND, who he remained close friends with. He was currently employed with Columbia Grain as a truck driver. On August 17, 2019 Kelly married the love of his life, Kathy Grammer at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Walhalla. They enjoyed going for drives and spending time together. He was happiest when he was with Kathy. Kelly was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus earning the title of Grand Knight. He was also a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and served on the Walhalla Fire Department. He was a caregiver for his parents in their later years. Kelly enjoyed many hobbies in his life including, hunting, fishing, cooking, gardening, going for drives around the area, and was always ready with a joke. Surviving Kelly is his wife, Kathy; mother, Yvette; stepchildren, Nicholas (Kendra) Fenton, Minto, ND; Andrew (Kara Lynn) Langowski, and grandchildren; Avery and Matthew, Watford City, ND; sisters, Karen (Pat) Restad, Adams, ND; Barb (Wayne) Chale, Pembina, ND; Patricia Kram, Grafton, ND; Diane (Keith) Due, Cavalier, ND; brother, Dean (Janie) Kram, Walhalla, ND; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Kelly in death is his father, Rudolph; grandparents; various aunts and uncles; and his dog Daisy.  Virginia Rodriguez took her final trip Home on August 26th, 2022 surrounded by love.
Virginia was born on August 8th, 1966 in Drayton, North Dakota to Genoveva and Nicholas Rodriguez. She was raised in Robbin, MN and was blessed with a large family; 6 sisters and 2 brothers. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1989. She was a proud employee of the North Dakota Department of Human Services for 30 years. Her work ethic and dedication didn’t stop with just her job title. Virginia was a devoted single mother to her two sons Matthew and Joshua. She was a loving grandmother to four grandchildren: Aiden, Matthew Jr., Izaiah and Aubree. Being a mother and grandmother was one of her greatest accomplishments. She immersed herself in the Catholic faith and was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. She was and still is adored by many and the legacy she left behind is one that cannot be measured. She will be wholeheartedly missed by all those that her life touched. A life with love is a life that’s been lived. Virginia is survived by her sons: Matthew Rodriguez and Joshua Vogsland; her Grandchildren: Aiden Mejia, Matthew Rodriguez Jr., Izaiah Rodriguez and Aubree Rodriguez; her mother, Genoveva Rodriguez; her siblings: Irene (Lance) Schlosser, Beatrice (Kevin) Machart, Herlinda (Thomas) Perez, Teresa Rodriguez, Yolanda (Arturo) DelaCruz, Donald (Janelle) Rodriguez and Susan (Jesus B) Castillo; all of her nieces and nephews, over abundance of cousins and the many friends who became her family. Interment will be at the St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.  Suzanne M. Burns, age 87 of Grafton, ND passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at the Lutheran Sunset Home in Grafton.
Suzanne Marie Lucille LaBerge was born December 19, 1934, in Grafton, ND to Daniel and Emelia (Lessard) LaBerge. Suzanne graduated from Grafton High School in 1952. She was united in marriage to Eugene Burns on September 10, 1957, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Grafton. The couple made their home in Grafton and raised six children. She was a legal assistant for local attorneys and a Walsh County abstractor until retirement. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church. Suzanne had a special love for children, both hers and others. She always ensured their needs came first. She enjoyed baking and teaching her grandkids to bake, especially Christmas cut-outs. She enjoyed 25 summers with her large extended family at the multicolored A-frame on Maple Lake. She especially enjoyed late night boat rides. Before she could even read, she loved books. As a parent, she recognized the value of reading to her children. She loved books until her last days; they gave her peace and comfort. Her motto was “life is too short to read a bad book.” She also enjoyed cards and was an accomplished Bridge player. She enjoyed playing Bingo with her sister and sisters-in-law. Suzanne had many fond memories of the Grafton Parade Band; a highlight was marching in the Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, CA. Suzanne will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. Interment will be at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Grafton, ND.  Alyce J. Schneider, age 88 of Grafton, ND passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.  Nicole R. Aslakson, age 55, of Mesa, Arizona died Saturday, July 2, 2022, at home under hospice care surrounded by her loving family.The daughter of Robert and Ellen Arnold, Nicole was born on December 24, 1966, in Grafton, North Dakota. After living in Port Hueneme and San Deigo, California for 10 years, she moved with her family back to Grafton, during her junior year attending Grafton High School, and graduated in 1985. She earned her degree in medical records from Lake Region Community College in Devils Lake, ND.On July 15th,1989, she married her high school sweetheart, Robert Aslakson at St. Johns Church in Grafton. After residing in Devils Lake and Grand Forks, North Dakota, they then established their family home in Mesa, Arizona. Nicole celebrated 24 years, at Banner Health Systems, working as a EMPI Systems Specialist.
Nicole loved and enjoyed spending time with family, her daughter and son, and her first grandson. She loved her trips back to North Dakota, visiting her mom and sister, and extended family members. She enjoyed time curating a beautiful backyard oasis, sharing the many good times with family and friends. Her passion for shopping, finding unique items and keepsakes endured throughout her life, along with her love of music, including the many rock concerts she attended. Her love for pets gave her solace and peace throughout her life. Having life-long friends, Becky Paul and Kristi Martinez, to lean on, meant everything to her. Nicole is survived by her beloved husband of 33 years, Robert, children Tanner (Tylar) and Caitlin (Brandon), and grandson Alexander, mother Ellen (Robert T.) Arnold, Grafton, ND; sister Dana (Chuck) Midgarden, Park River, ND; brother Robert W. Arnold, El Paso, TX. Eide, age 89 of Grafton, ND, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022 at the First Care Health Center of Park River.
Francis Eide was born September 19, 1932 in Crystal, ND, the son of the late Melvin and Bessie (Nelson) Eide. He grew up and attended school in the Crystal area. He served in the US Army from 1951-1954 during the Korean Conflict. Following his discharge he returned to St. Thomas, ND and began working for Landrigan farms. He was united in marriage to Alice Burger on September 8, 1955 in Cavalier, ND. They made their home in St. Thomas where they raised their children. The couple later moved to rural Auburn and he worked for Kingsbury farms and Doug Davis farms until retiring at the age of 61. During his retirement he continued to work beet harvest for Larry and Todd Burns until he was 87. He was a member of the Crystal American Legion Post #107. He enjoyed tinkering on machinery on the farm, deer hunting, fishing, camping, going for rides on the golf cart, pontoon and 4-wheeler, dancing, playing horseshoes, Yahtzee, pinochle and whist. He also enjoyed spending time and visiting with family. He is survived by his children: Vicky (Dean) Wilson, Hallock, MN, Bradley (Linda) Eide, Grafton, ND, Ronald Eide, Auburn, ND, and Rebecca (Robert) Swenson, Middle River, MN; 8 grandchildren: Mark Langley, Brian (Svenja) Langley, Lance (Kayla) Eide, Devin (Vicki) Kitchens, Nichole (Pepe) Martinez, Jessica Eide, Brandi (Travis Gritz) Anderson, Brandon (Cosi Lopez) Anderson; 18 great grandchildren; siblings: Sharon (Bob) Mason, GA, Kenny Eide, Shirley (LeRoy) Dolney, Roberta (Allen) Dinkle, Carol Willits, Doris (Lowell) Lene, all of Grafton, ND and Marvin Eide, Casselton, ND; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Our Mother, Agnes Angela Klindt, nee Schoenheit, 86, of Walhalla, ND joined Jesus in God’s Glory Friday, August 19, 2022 at the Maple Manor Care Center in Langdon, ND. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Walhalla Lutheran Church in Walhalla, ND. Visitation will be held at the church from noon until the time of service on Friday. Burial will be held in Beaulieu Cemetery, rural Walhalla, ND.
Born a child of God at Neche, ND, to Wanda and Otto Schoenheit on August 22, 1935. Agnes was the oldest girl in her family. Agnes’s family moved in the early years of her childhood to Mizpah and Northome, MN (for work) and returned to the Cavalier area in the early 1940s. She completed her elementary education in Cavalier at the Cranley Elementary School near Cavalier, ND. On August 18, 1956, she married Henry Klindt, and moved to the Klindt farm where she lived the rest of her life. As a farm wife, and a mother of three children, Agnes fulfilled many responsibilities of farming, and homemaking. She and Henry enjoyed horticulture, gardening, and wildlife. Being a kind and generous woman, and an awesome cook, she always had tea or coffee ready with bars, cake, or cookies for any friend or family visitor that would stop by to say “hello.” Agnes is survived by her children: Zoe Klindt, Wendy Ulrich (Mark), and Wade Klindt (Jody), grandchildren: Mason Buus (Tina), Alex Bapp, Daniel Ulrich, Nicholas Ulrich (April), Janae Heuchert (Nickolaus), Justina Klindt, Jadyn Klindt, Raelyn Klindt, Rachelle Klindt, and Jordan Klindt, her great-grandchildren: Randy Juleen, Taylor, Jeremiah, Emilio, and Gabriel Buus, Presli Pullar, Aunna, Kiara, Henry, and Arianna Ulrich, and great-great granddaughter Valerie Buus. Also surviving are her siblings: Delbert Schoenheit, Howard Schoenheit, Marlene Stremick (Bill), Phyllis Reck, Charlotte Soderberg, Ruth Hall, and Anna Lammens, sisters-in-law: Mary Ann Schoenheit, Elaine Thompson, Eleanor Hartman, and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, Otto and Wanda Schoenheit, husband, Henry Klindt, brothers: Robert “Bob”, Arnold “Arnie”, Ronald, and Gilbert Schoenheit, and sisters: Alice Schoenheit and Rita Schoenheit.  Jerome L. “Jerry” Daley, age 74 of Grafton, ND went to be with his Lord on Friday, August 19, 2022, at Altru Hospital of Grand Forks.
Jerome L. Daley was born on February 24, 1948, to the late Ralph and Violet (Charon) Daley in Grafton, North Dakota. He was raised on the family farm near Hoople. Jerry attended school in Park River and graduated from the Walsh County Agriculture School. After graduation, Jerry worked for the local Red Owl, before he was called to serve in the United States Army. He served in during the Vietnam War Jerry was united in marriage to Delores Amann on August 12, 1977 at Zion Lutheran Church of Hoople. He worked for the Development Center for 35 years, as a tech programmer. Jerry loved to hunt and fish and was loyal Minnesota Vikings fan. He loved attending the activities and sporting events of his great grandchildren and when he wasn’t able to attend, he was sure to get a play by play afterwards. He was a lifelong member of the Zion Lutheran Church. He was also a life member of the Park River American Legion Post, VFW, AMVETS, Vietnam Veterans of America, International War Veterans Alliance, and Military Order of the Cootie. Through the 50 years of service to these incredible organizations, Jerry served in many leadership roles and was a proud member. Jerry will be dearly missed by his wife of 45 years, Delores; children: Gwyn Jacobson, Grafton, ND, Gary (Sandy) Johnson, Polver, WI, Ivan (Debbie) Johnson, Grand Forks, ND, and Kevin (April) Johnson, Grafton, ND; eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild; siblings: Ellen Arnold, Paul Daley, Glenn (Vonnie) Daley, all of Grafton, ND, Steve Daley, Park River, ND, Nadine (Ronald) Dolan, Gilbert, AZ, Dennis Daley, Grafton, ND, and Elaine (Steve) Mattson, West Fargo, ND; as well as many nieces and nephews.
