Brian Mlcoch, age 48 of Grafton, ND passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Unity Medical Center of Grafton. 
Brian was born April 24, 1974 in Grafton, North Dakota the son of James Mlcoch and Karen (Peterson) Haggerty.  He was raised in Grafton and attended school at Grafton and Minto Public Schools.  Following his education, he began working for area farmers.  He worked for Osowski Farms, Slominski Farms, and Gudajtes Farms through the years, as well as, many others.  He enjoyed being in the field in the spring for planting and loved the fall harvest. 
Brian was the father to four incredible children, which he adored.  He loved to spend time with his family, especially doing outdoor activities.  He loved to do woodworking in his free time and bake special treats for friends and family. 
Brian is survived by his children: Garrett, Kaitlynn, Leigha, and Gracie Mlcoch, Park River, ND; mother: Karen Haggerty, Grafton, ND; brother Steve (Patricia Nordstrom) Mlcoch, Grafton, ND; nieces: Heather and Hannah Nordstrom, Grafton, ND; grandmother Zelma Peterson, Grafton, ND; father James Mlcoch, Phoenix, AZ, stepfather Ron Haggerty, Dunseith, ND; and too many aunts, uncles, and cousins to name.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Art Peterson and his paternal grandparents, Art and Stephany Mlcoch.
Memorial Services will be Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 7:00 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton.  Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.  Inurnment will be at the Park Center Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.

John William O’Toole, age 42, of Grafton, ND, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at the Unity Hospital of Grafton, ND.

John William O’Toole was born January 17, 1980, in Cavalier, ND, the son of Lawrence and Shirley (Vavrovsky) O’Toole. John attended and graduated school in Cavalier, ND. Following his education he moved to Grafton, ND, where he was employed through Friendship Inc. at Select Inn, Pamida/Shopko, and was currently working at All Season’s Laundry.

He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and Grafton Kiwanis.  John enjoyed bowling, 80’s music, camping, tubing, dancing, making others feel happy and loved spending time with family and friends.

John is survived by his mother, Shirley O’Toole, Grafton, ND; siblings: Connie (Lynn) Johnson, Grafton, ND; Lori O’Toole (Vicki Yamamoto), Los Osos, CA; Michael (Jorie) O’Toole, O’Fallon, MO; Janet (David) Foerster, Grafton, ND; Nancy (Joel) Mueller, Dardenne Prairie, MO; Paul (Sherry) O’Toole, Crystal, ND; Mary (David) Hanson, Colorado Springs, CO; Diane (Dan) Johnson, Hoople, ND; David (Brandy) O’Toole, Grand Forks, ND. John was a very proud uncle to 26 nieces and nephews and 15 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence, and grandparents, Robert and Margaret O’Toole and Bert and Mary Vavrovsky.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, September 26, 2022, at 10:30 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton, ND. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the church. Friends may also call at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Crystal, ND.  The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Friendship of Grafton and Unity Medical Center for the excellent care John and family received over the years. Jeanette Halcrow of Bemidji, MN died Thursday, September 15, 2022.

Mass of Christian burial will be 12:00 p.m., Saturday, September 24, 2022 at St. Philips Catholic Church, Bemidji. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, September 23, 2022 at St. Philips Catholic Church with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be 11:30 a.m., Monday, September 26, 2022 at the Calvary Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.

Jeanette Van Camp Halcrow, born the daughter of Herbert M. and Helen (Hublou) Van Camp in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She attended St. Mary's Elementary School and St. James High School in Grand Forks before attending Marquette University and graduating from the University of North Dakota with a degree in Speech Therapy and later a Master's Degree in Communication Disorders. She married John Harold Halcrow on June 8, 1963. Jeanette liked to travel, read, play bridge, and tend her flower gardens, and enjoy her friends.

She is survived by her husband, John, and daughter, Jennifer, of Minneapolis, and her sisters, Marian Dornheim Kadlec and Nancy Holcomb. She was preceded in death by her father and mother.

​Scott D. Langton, 69 of Devils Lake and Crary ND passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at his home.

Gathering of family and friends on Monday, September 26, 2022 at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Devils Lake with Reverend JoHanna Buchholz officiating. Burial will be in the Devils Lake Cemetery.

Scott Douglas Langton, son of Leo and Nelda (Severtson) Langton was born on August 19, 1953 at Camp Legeune, North Carolina. After his father’s discharge from the military, the family made their home at the farm at Crary. He attended school in Southam, ND through the fifth grade, then attended Crary Public School, graduating with the class of 1971. 

Scott was united in marriage to Jan Stromme in December of 1971. They lived for a short time in Devils Lake, then built a home on the farm at rural Southam in 1974.  This is where they lived, worked and raised their family. It was in 1974 a family business, Langton Custom Harvesting began and continued for 27 years.  In 1997, the family made their home in Denver, Colorado and Scott worked for Tuff Shed.  In 2005, Scott returned to the farm at Southam and began custom harvesting again until increasing health issues forced him to retire in 2021.  In June of 2022, Scott moved into Devils Lake.

Scott was married to Dessarae D. Schill on December 18, 2008. They made their home on the farm at Southam. Dessarae died on May 5, 2022. 

Scott never considered combining as work. He loved the harvest time and the farm. He was so proud to have his son take over Langton Farms. He was never idle and was always working on something and was an avid reader.  

Scott served on the Hope Township Board for many years, gave his time as a church council member for Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Devils Lake and also enjoyed membership in the Elks Lodge. 

Scott loved the farm, treasured his family with all his heart and believed in the promises of his Lord and Savior. He will be so greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Scott’s loving family include his daughter Jennifer Rheault of West Fargo ND; son Neil (Brianne) Langton, Devils Lake; grandchildren Corbin and Karsi Rheault, Weslie, Max and Hobey Langton; granddaughter he helped to raise Haylee Borgen; mother Nelda Langton, Devils Lake; mother of his children Jan Langton, West Fargo; brothers Steven (Sally) Langton, Palmdale CA and Merle Langton, Devils Lake; sister Stacy (Tom) Saurey, Littleton CO; special uncle and friend Sheldon Severtson, rural Devils Lake; several beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Leo, wife Dessarae, brothers Trent, Brian, and a brother in infancy and sister Lanelle Cummings.

​Ronald Alexzander Falk, 78, of Cavalier, N.D., passed away Monday, September 19, 2022, at his home. He was born May 1, 1944, to Erwin and Marie (Bauer) Falk. He grew up in the Bathgate area and graduated from Pembina High School and UND. On October 20, 1968, he married Jane Hildebrant in Cavalier, North Dakota. Ron worked at Roy Implement in Walhalla and Cavalier Implement until he took over the family farm. 

Ron enjoyed spending time with family and friends, morning coffee with the guys, and playing games with his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Jane, daughter Amy (Mike) Marlin, son, Christopher (Chelsie) Falk; grandchildren, Kynan and Keaton Marlin, and Caylie, Camdyn, and Caysen Falk; sister, Darlene Erovick, niece, Heather Vetter, and brother, Steve Gelder. 

Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Clifford.
