Shirley Amundson

Shirley Ann Amundson, age 85, of Larimore and formerly Inkster, ND, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 in Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.
Shirley was born February 13, 1937 at Crystal, ND, the daughter of Mervin and Mildred (Johnson) Becker. She was raised in Crystal until moving with her family to Inkster in 1953.  She graduated from Inkster High School and then attended Aakers Business College.
Shirley married George Amundson on December 9, 1956 at Inkster.  After their marriage they lived and farmed near Inkster.  She worked for a few years at Valley Bank in Gilby.  The couple moved into Grand Forks in 1992.  Mr. Amundson preceded her in death December 8, 1992.
Surviving members of her family include her sons:  Jay (Heather), Larimore, Tracy (April), Hatton, and Lee, Bismarck; one grandson Joshua; brothers: Clark (Melva) Becker, Inkster; Gary (Patty) Becker, Crystal; sister: Myrna Flowers, Phoenix, AZ; sisters-in-law:  Mary Whaley, Fordville and Dorothy Amundson, Grand Forks; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Glen, brother-in-law Thomas Amundson and sister-in-law Margaret Woods.
FUNERAL SERVICES:  10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2022 in the Inkster Presbyterian Church, Inkster, ND.
VISITATION:  One hour before the service.
INTERMENT:  Inkster Cemetery.
