Robert “Baker Bob” Paulson, age 90 of Grafton, ND passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at his home. Bob was born May 28, 1929 to Paul and Julia (Rude) Paulson on the farm at Ada, MN. When he was 5 years of age, Paul sold the farm and moved to Fargo. Bob grew up there and went through school. He was drafted into the Army in 1948 in the 231st Engineers at Ft. Lewis WA and also Leaders Course School at Camp Roberts CA. He served two years in the US and two years overseas in the Army Engineers. Upon returning home, he attended the North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton for Business Management. Following his education he went into the bakery business which he did for the rest of his life. He worked for Sweetheart, Red Owl, Hornbacher’s, Blacks Bakery and Wally’s Bakery in Grafton where he worked for 44 years. He was president of the North Dakota Baker Association for two years and had a Master Baker Degree. He was united in marriage to Betty Rinerson on June 6, 1954. They were married for 43 years and had two children: Janise (Ron) Dorman and Randy. He was united in marriage to Leona Wicks on October 24, 1998. He was a member of Grafton Lutheran Church and served on several committees. He liked fishing, bowling, playing golf, woodworking and his trains. He loved his wives, children and grandkids; whom he had a lot of good times with. Bob is survived by his wife Leona, Grafton, ND, daughter Janise (Ron) Dorman, stepchildren: Curtis Schiebe, Sandy Wilson, and Steve (Susan) Schiebe, brothers: Earl and Rudy Paulson, sister Patty Sall as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty, son Randy, step-son Dennis, sisters: Mildred and Lorraine and brothers: Vernon, Lester, and Merlyn. Funeral services will be Friday, October 25, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grafton Lutheran Church of Grafton. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Military rites will be provided by the Grafton American Legion Post #41 and the North Dakota National Guard Honor Guard. Interment will be at the Grafton Lutheran Cemetery of Grafton.
