Robert A. Mlcoch

Robert A. Mlcoch, age 80 of Grafton, ND passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at his home in Grafton.


Robert A. Mlcoch was born January 17, 1942 in Voss, ND the son of the late Arthur and Stephanie (Dvorak) Mlcoch. He attended school in Grafton, graduating from Grafton High School in 1960. He attended Valley City State College for one year and worked construction in Denver, CO for a year. He returned to Grafton and worked for Kutz and O’Brien Plumbing. Bob started working for the US Postal Service in Grafton and retired after 37 ½ years of service. He was united in marriage to Sharon Barclay on August 3, 1963 in Grafton. The couple has made their home here since.  After retiring Bob worked for the Grafton Park Board, mowing lawn. He also had a weed spraying business for many years.


Bob was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church of Grafton. He enjoyed hunting deer and elk and was able to take a couple of trips to Montana and Colorado. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time with his family.


He is survived by his wife, Sharon, Grafton, ND; daughters: Renae Lacher, Fargo, ND and Robin Varholdt, West Fargo, ND; grandchildren: Ashley (Ross) McCleary, Adam (Madi) Lacher, Tommy Varholdt (Emily Beets), great grandchildren: Blakely, Elliot, Chloe and Sawyer; his brothers: Jim and Kenny both of Arizona.  He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Jennifer on Jan. 6, 2022, brothers: Dale and Doran and sister Audrey.


Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 2:00 pm at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Visitation will be Tuesday for one hour prior to the service at the church.
