Mavis M Mosolf

Mavis M. Mosolf, age 83 of Park River, ND passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019 at the Park River Good Samaritan Center.

Mavis M. Mosolf was born September 4, 1936 in Bathgate, ND the daughter of the late Frederick and Elizabeth (Gebur) Mosolf. The family moved to Park River when Mavis was a small child. She grew up and attended school in Park River, graduating from the Walsh County Agricultural School in 1954. Mavis worked at Service Dry Cleaners in the alterations and sewing department until the store closed. She continued to do alterations out of her home until moving to the Good Samaritan Center in December of 2012. Mavis also helped her mother clean the Federated Church in Park River.

Mavis was a member of the Park River Federated Church. She loved crocheting, knitting and sewing. She was known to go to the bakery at least a couple of times a day for coffee and sweets. She was very kind hearted and loved to spend time with her nieces and nephews.

Mavis is survived by her brother, James (Jean) Mosolf, Park River, ND; nieces: Bonnie (Jim) Nowell, Jody (Todd) Deibert, Diana (Randy) Hahn; nephews: Wayne (Barb) Brandvold, Michael Brandvold, Dale Brandvold and Aaron (Heather) Mosolf. Several great nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and Burnett Brandvold, nephews: Ronald and Richard Brandvold and an infant sister.


Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Park River Federated Church. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Park River, ND.
