Marilyn F. Lauer, age 84 of Grafton, North Dakota passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021 at her home in Grafton. Marilyn Frances Lauer was born September 14, 1936 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of the late Wilfred Lauer and Mary (Druar) Lauer. She attended school at St. Thomas High School and enlisted in the United States Air Force. After her separation from the Air Force she returned to St. Thomas. Marilyn worked for Borden’s Grafton until they closed and then began working for American Crystal until her retirement in 2003. She moved to Grafton where she continued to make her home until the time of her death. She was a member of the former St. Thomas Catholic Church, St. Thomas, ND and St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Grafton, ND. She loved to crochet and bake. Marilyn was the favorite aunt and grandma figure to all of her nieces and nephews. Marilyn is survived by her bothers: Arnold (Rose) Lauer, Seattle, WA; Pat (Rita) Lauer, Bottineau, ND. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Wilfred (Judy) Lauer. Memorial services will be held Monday, July 12, 2021 11:00 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Grafton, ND. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00-6:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may call at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the service at the church. The service will be live streamed on the Tollefson Funeral Home, Inc. Facebook page and a video of the service will be posted on the funeral home website following the service. Inurnment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, rural Langdon, ND. Military rites will be provided by the Grafton American Legion Post and the United States Air Force Honor Guard.
