Kenneth W. Hoffmann, age 74 of Grafton, ND passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Altru Hospital of Grand Forks surrounded by his family. Ken was born March 15, 1948 in Jamestown, ND, the son of the late Bertha (Hoffmann) Reidburn. He spent his childhood being raised in Medina and Jamestown, graduating from high school in Jamestown in 1966. Ken attended college in Wahpeton and finished at Valley City State College where he met Barbara Thoe. Ken and Barbara were married on July 11, 1971 in Fordville, ND, the start of their 51 years together. Ken began working for White Drug, which took their family to Jamestown, Fargo, Le Sueur, MN, and Devils Lake. Ken also worked for Ben Franklin and Pamida, which brought them to Rugby and finally Grafton where they settled. He finished his career in telecommunications, retiring from AT&T in 2013. He was a past President of Heritage Village in Grafton, a longtime member of the Jaycees in Jamestown, and a member of the Valley Cruisers Car Club of North Dakota. He was an avid collector of anything nostalgic that caught his eye, loved fishing on Lake Sakakawea, and photography. Most of all, Ken loved cruising in his ’57 Chevy. Ken is survived by his wife, Barbara; sons: Neil (Sheri) Hoffmann, McCanna, ND, Chris Hoffmann (Cari Johnson), Grand Forks, ND, and Sean (Krysta) Hoffmann, Cavalier, ND; grandchildren: Justin, Eric, Gillian, and Casper; aunt Mildred Hoffmann, Spiritwood Lake, ND; mother-in-law, Dorothy Thoe and brother-in-law, Randy Thoe both of Fordville, ND; many nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, James Reidburn. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Federated Church of Grafton. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 5-7 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at Federated Church of Grafton. Friends and family may also call at the church on Friday for one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Fordville, ND.
