Janice Mastre

Janice K. Mastre, age 75 of Park River, ND, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at the Park River Good Samaritan Center.
Janice Bjornson was born March 21, 1944 in Binford, ND, the daughter of the late Sophus and Irene (Melland) Bjornson. The family lived in several places as Janice was growing up and she graduated from Park River High School. She was united in marriage to Ronald Mastre and they had two children: Ricky and Patti. In 1980 she moved to Grand Forks and worked as a utility worker at the North Dakota Mill and Elevator until she retired. She moved to the Park River Good Samaritan Center in 2014.
She is survived by her children: Ricky Mastre and Patti Mastre, both of Park River, ND, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, siblings: Glenn (Caroline) Bjornson, Tolna, ND, Kenneth (LaVonn) Bjornson, Grand Forks, ND, LouAnn (Dale) Viken, Grand Forks, ND, Dennis Bjornson, Renton, WA, Ronald Bjornson, Milbank, SD and Gerald Bjornson, Henderson, NV. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter Stephanie Aune.
Funeral services will be Monday, August 12, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery of Park River.
