Dorothy Jean Williamson, age 84 of Grafton, ND passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019 at her home in Grafton. Dorothy Jean Sando was born March 4, 1935 in Grafton, ND, the daughter of the late Adolph and Esther (Anderson) Sando. She attended country school near Grafton. After her schooling, she helped her dad on the family farm until she started working at Red’s News Stand in Grafton. Dorothy was united in marriage to Lyle Williamson on May 25, 1957 in rural Hoople. The couple lived and farmed in Glasston. Lyle passed away on March 25, 1986. She was a fill in Post Mistress for the Glasston Post Office and worked at Home of Economy. Dorothy moved to Grafton, where she continued to make her home until the time of her death. She was a member of the Glasston United Methodist Church, the Glasston Ladies Aide Society and was a Sunday school teacher. Dorothy is survived by her children: Jim Williamson, Grafton, ND; Lorri (Daryl) Gladue, Glasston, ND; sisters: Alice Puppe, Grand Forks, ND; Sandy Dibble, Denver, CO; Avis (Lloyd) Swaim, Mead, OK. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lyle and siblings: Audin Sando, Ethel Stanhope, Bert Sando, Lillian Collette and Lorraine Bernard. Memorial Services will be Monday, September 16, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at the Glasston Cemetery, Glasston, ND. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Altru Hospice, Grafton Branch.
