Doreen Guilbert Hendrickson

Doreen Guilbert Hendrickson, 86, of Cando, ND, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022 at the Towner County Medical Center in Cando.
As per Doreen’s wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date.
Memorials are preferred to the I.O.O.F. Cemetery Fund, PO Box 396, Cando, ND 58324; Cando Park Board, P.O. Box 903, Cando, ND 58324; or the Cando Senior Citizens, P.O. Box 64, Cando, ND 58324.
Doreen was born May 3, 1936 to Louis and Margaret (Capon) Guilbert near Hansboro, ND.  Doreen was raised in St. John, ND and graduated from St. John High School.  She married William Hendrickson on January 19, 1956 in Monrovia, CA.  They began their married life in Bisbee, ND and soon moved to Cando, ND where they raised their family
In the early seventies they purchased farm land in Manitoba, Canada.  Until the kids had all graduated from high school, they were long distance farmers.  They then made the move to the Belmont, Manitoba area.  She continued to manage the farm land until her death.
Doreen was up for a game of cards at any time or any game for that matter.  She was very proud of her garden and flowers and her efforts proved to be very successful.  G’ma H was very happy to spend time with her grandchildren and they in turn loved going to “Camp Grandma”!
Doreen is survived by her children Cyndi (James) Bennington of Churchs Ferry, ND and Wade Hendrickson of Cando; grandchildren Riley (Valerie) Bertsch, Laine Gordon, Lacie (Casey) Hansen, Kendal Hendrickson, Cordell (Katie) Hendrickson, Lindsey (Troy) Sigvaldason and Mandy Hendrickson and nine great grandchildren.
Doreen was preceded in death by her parents, husband William, son Brian, brothers Derald and Danny Guilbert, daughter-in-law Paula Hendrickson and granddaughter Halie Hendrickson.
