Daniel S. Sevigny, 97, of Grafton, ND and formerly Oakwood, ND passed away on June 6, 2022 at the Lutheran Sunset Home. Daniel was born April 1, 1925 in Oakwood, ND on the family farm, the son of the late Edward and Emma (Demers) Sevigny. He attended and graduated from St. Aloysius Academy in Oakwood. Daniel served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953. Daniel married Louise Osowski on April 7, 1953 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Warsaw, ND. They settled near Oakwood where Daniel farmed and worked for area farmers. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Oakwood, the Knights of Columbus, and the American Legion. In 2018, Daniel and Louise moved to Lutheran Sunset Home in Grafton, where they enjoyed living with friends. He is survived by his wife, Louise and son Alan, Minto, ND; sister: Flora Pilon, Grafton, ND, and sister-in-law: Joanne Sevigny; many nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter Phyllis Marie, sisters: Rosalie Lessard and Alma Collette, and brothers: Victorian, Eugene and Orell. Due to Daniel’s generous gift of body donation to the University of North Dakota Medical School, Mass of Christian Burial will be at a later date, with inurnment at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Oakwood, ND.
