Christopher Scott Chapples-Martinez

Christopher Scott Chapples Martinez, 17, of Cavalier, ND passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 at his home. Funeral service will be held Friday, August 27, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cavalier Evangelical Free Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 26th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
Christopher was born August 28, 2003 at Waxahachie, TX to Oscar Martinez, Jr. and Brittney (Chapples) Martinez. For the past eight years he has lived in Cavalier. He was presently employed at Thompson’s Café in Cavalier.
Things Chris enjoyed were skate boarding, BMX, rapping, and he enjoyed spending time with his many friends.
He is survived by his mother, Brittney Martinez, Cavalier, ND, father, Oscar Martinez, Jr. Bay St. Louis, MS, siblings: Gabriel Martinez and Oscar Martinez III, both of Cavalier, Jimmy Hanes, Midlothian, TX, Austin Martinez, Glyndon, MN, Dylan Martinez, Minneota, MN, Desiree Casey, Duluth, MN. Also surviving are his grandparents: Rejeana and Mike Davis and Ron McGraw, all of Abilene, TX, Oscar and Wanda Martinez, Venus, TX, and his girlfriend, Bethany O’Toole, Crystal, ND.
Preceding him in death were his great-grandparents: Sue Gollihar, Matha Goff, Maria Martinez, and John Carroll, and uncle, John Carroll, Jr.
