Carol Jean Hensrud, age 67 of Grafton, North Dakota, entered the presence of Jesus on Sunday, July 21, 2019 after an eighteen year battle with colon cancer. She goes home to her Redeemer and can celebrate her favorite verse John 3:16 with Him in eternity. Carol was born on December 13, 1951 to Paul and Merle (Nielson) Fedje in Bottineau, ND. She grew up in Hoople, ND with her three sisters: Mary Jo, Jo and Diane. She was married to Dave Hensrud on August 5, 1979 and was blessed with three boys: Paul, Mark and Thomas and four grandchildren. Carol attended Concordia College and taught in East Grand Forks and St. Thomas Public Schools. She was an active member of Bethel Free Lutheran Church, Grafton and many other community activities. She is survived by her husband Dave Hensrud, Grafton, ND; sons: Paul (Naomi) Hensrud, Grand Forks, ND; Mark (Andrea) Hensrud, Harwood, ND; Thomas (Kasey) Hensrud, Apple Valley, MN; grandchildren: Graeham, Syneva, Charlee Jo and Logan; her mother, Merle Fedje, Grafton, ND and sisters: Mary Jo (Nick) Hall, Grafton, ND; Jo Keller, Vergas, MN and Diane (Ray) Weisgarber, Green Valley, AZ. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Fedje and brother-in-law, Bob Keller. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Bethel Free Lutheran Church, Grafton, ND. Visitation will be on Monday from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Crescent Cemetery, Grafton, ND. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Altru Hospice or CaringBridge.
