Angeline M. Burger, age 99 of Park River, ND passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the Park River Good Samaritan Center. Angeline Marie Cicha was born July 22, 1919 in Veseleyville, ND the daughter of the late Joseph and Eleanor (Vesley) Cicha. She attended rural school near Veseleyville and attended the Walsh County Agricultural School in Park River. She worked housekeeping prior to her marriage to Everett Burger on November 4, 1941 in Park River. The couple made their home in Park River where they worked as custodians for the Park River Schools until retiring in 1979. The couple spent winters in Seattle with their children. Everett passed away on September 27, 1985. Angeline moved to the Good Samaritan Center in June of 1992. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Altar Society, the First Care Health Center Auxiliary and the Park River American Legion Auxiliary. She was proud of the fact the she had the award for the most poppy sales one year. Angie took great pride in her family and loved doing charitable works. Angeline is survived by her children: Ronald (Janel) Burger, Castle Rock, WA; Lenora Swartz, Phoenix, AZ and Monica (Duane) Halverson, Seattle, WA; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and her brother; Sylvester (Cheiko) Cicha, Seattle WA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and nine siblings and spouses. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, June 24, 2019 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Park River. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-7 with a rosary service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River. Friends may also call at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Park River, ND.
