Anna M. Welsh, age 86 of Grafton, ND, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton, surrounded by family under hospice care. Anna Marie LeBlanc was born May 14, 1933 in Cashel, ND the daughter of the late Alphonse and Aurore (Gregorie) LeBlanc. She attended school at the Aloysius Academy inOakwood, ND. Following her education she married Robert Welsh on August 4, 1951in Ozark, Alabama while Robert was stationed at Fort Rucker. The couple made their home in Walhalla, ND until 1955, when they moved to Grafton. Anna was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. She worked for many years at Borden’s in Grafton before moving over to the Life Skills and Transition Center. Anna loved to sew and she was known for her incredible seamstress skills. She was a Girl Scout leader for many years and loved spending time with her children and their families. Anna is survived by her children: Sheila Hrabik, Grand Forks, ND; Warren (Dr. Cynthia) Welsh, Charleston, SC; Debbie (Bob) Livingood, Grafton, ND; Sandra (Greg) Rose, Grafton, ND; Becky (Vern) Schnellbach, Grafton, ND; Tammy (Keith) Fletus, Nisswa, MN: Wayne Welsh, Grafton, ND; Connie (Stefan) Linstad, Park River, ND; Stacy (Roben)Trosen, Cavalier, ND; 19 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Anna was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Jack, son-in-law Wayne Hrabik, grandson Christopher Welsh, great grandson Angel Herrera, great granddaughter Peyton Lillico, and her siblings. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Grafton, ND. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be at the St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Grafton, ND.
