Sharon Mae Mlcoch

Sharon Mae Mlcoch, age 79 of Grafton, ND passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024 at Eventide Sheyenne Crossings in West Fargo with family by her side. She was being cared for by Hospice of the Red River Valley during her final days.
Sharon was born April 30, 1945 in Grafton, ND, the daughter of the late Percy and Amelia (Mondry) Barclay. She graduated as valedictorian of her class at Oslo High School, MN in 1963. Sharon married Robert Mlcoch on  August 3, 1963 in Grafton and together they raised three daughters.
She loved her family dearly and treasured her four great-grandchildren. Living in Fargo this past year has given her opportunity to attend their softball and baseball games, wrestling matches, dance recitals, volleyball and basketball games. 
Sharon always said, “I’m a jack-of-all-trades but a master of none.” Her family and friends disagree as she was an amazing cook and baker, seamstress, painter, interior decorator, and most recently quilter. She shared her many talents throughout the years with employment at Jay’s Studio, B & D Flooring and Furniture, Mary’s Ladies Fashion and most recently the Squire Shop while creating lasting friendships with fellow co-workers and customers.
Sharon was a devout Catholic and a member of St. John’s Catholic Church where she occasionally volunteered. She would pray the rosary every night, often waking up with imprints of the cross in her fingers.

She is survived by her daughters Renae Lacher, Fargo and Robin Varholdt, West Fargo; grandchildren: Ashley & Ross McCleary with their children Blakely, Elliot, and Chloe of Barnesville, MN; Adam Lacher and Madi Hanson with their daughter Sawyer of Fargo; and Tommy & Emily Varholdt with their children Ben and Michael of West Fargo; and siblings; Darlyne Murray, Grand Forks and Arnold Barclay, Grafton.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Robert Mlcoch, daughter Jennifer, her parents Percy and Amelia Barclay and sister Claryce Rose.
A sincere thank you to the dear friends and family for all the prayers, special visits, and support throughout this past year.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton, ND.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery of Fargo, ND.
