Michael A. Glanner, age 75 of Grafton, ND passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022 at his home in Grafton. Michael Ambrose Glanner was born July 27, 1947 in Grafton, ND the son of Michael and Bernice (Zolondek) Glanner. He graduated from Minto High School. Following his education he served in the United States Army from March of 1968 to March of 1970, serving in Vietnam. Following his discharge he returned home and started working as a heavy equipment operator for the State of North Dakota, retiring after 40 years of service. Michael was united in marriage to Mary King Kasprick on February 17, 1979 at St. John’s Catholic Church of Grafton. The couple made their home in Grafton. He was a member of the Minto American Legion Post #201 for 51 years. Michael is survived by his mother, Bernice Glanner, Grafton, ND; his wife, Mary Glanner, Grafton, ND; Mary’s children: Kevin (Kristi) Kasprick, Keith (Mary) Kasprick, both Fargo, ND; Melynda (Marlow) Lenling, Grafton, ND; five grandchildren: Cody Kasprick, Michayla Maruska, Raychell Larson-Kasprick, Beau Larson-Kasprick, Mourgen Lenling; two great grandchildren: Aurora and Kaeton Maruska; his siblings: Geraldine Esty, York, Maine and Jeff Glanner, Minto, ND. He was preceded in death by his father and maternal and paternal grandparents. Memorial services will be Friday, October 7, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Minto, ND. Military rites will be provided by the Minto American Legion Post and the North Dakota National Guard Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of the Red River Valley.
