Margery Lee Steenerson

Margery Lee Steenerson, 90, passed away peacefully at Valley Senior Living in Grand Forks, North Dakota on December 26, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. 
 
Margery was born in Drayton, North Dakota on July 17, 1929, daughter of Lee and Barbara Cochran.  She attended Drayton Public School, graduating in 1947 and then attended Aaker’s Business College.  On September 22, 1949 she married Marlin Steenerson in Drayton.  Over the years, Margery worked at local grocery stores, Erickson’s Clothing and Drayton Discount, as the bookkeeper.  Margery was a member of Drayton United Methodist Church, UMW and also a member of the Rosebank Rebekah Lodge of Drayton.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
 
Family members include her children, Tom (Doreen) Steenerson, Grand Forks, ND, Nancy (Dan) Anderson, Cavalier, ND and Barbie Steenerson, Drayton; grandchildren, Lisa (Travis) Bursinger, Grand Forks, Chris (Tiffany) Steenerson, Grand Forks, Amy Gierszewski, Grand Forks, Devin (Alesha) Gierszewski, Portland, ND and Brady Steenerson, Grand Forks, ND; brother, James Cochran, Drayton; brother-in-law, Don (Kathy) Steenerson, Grafton; sister-in-law, Carol Steenerson, Fargo; and several great grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Marlin; son, Robert; parents; infant sister, Linda Cochran; grandson, Travis Gierszewski; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roger (Barbara) Steenerson, Richard (RuthAnn) Steenerson, Mike Steenerson and and Marcella Cochran.
 
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in Drayton United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Drayton City Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the church for one hour prior to the service.
