Harold L. Einarson, age 86 of Edinburg, ND, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022 at his home in Edinburg. Harold L. Einarson was born August 16, 1936 in rural Hensel, North Dakota, the son of the late Thomas and Annie Belle (Creighton) Einarson. He attended school near Hensel. Harold enlisted in the U.S. Army serving in Munich, Germany. After his honorable discharge he returned to the area and worked for area farmers. Harold was united in marriage to Doris Dencker on July 5, 1969. The couple made their home in the Edinburg area where they raised their son, Lloyd. Doris passed away on March 3, 2009. He worked for Walsh County as a truck driver until his retirement. Harold was united in marriage to Edith McKay. The couple made their home near Edinburg until the time of his death. He was a member of the Victory Free Lutheran Church and the Edinburg American Legion Post. He loved square dancing, bowling, playing bingo and raising his cattle. Harold is survived by his wife, Edith Einarson, Edinburg, ND; son, Lloyd (Debra) Einarson, Edinburg, ND; granddaughter, Becky (Josh Samuelson) Denault and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Einarson, parents and siblings: Thomas, Laverne, James, Lewis and Annabelle. Memorial services will be Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 10:30 A.M. at the Grace Free Lutheran Church of Edinburg, ND. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the church. Friends may call at the church on Saturday for one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at the German Lutheran Cemetery, rural Park River, ND. Military Rites will be provided by the Edinburg American Legion Post and the North Dakota National Guard Honor Guard.
