Cecilia M. Teske, 94, of Grand Forks, N.D., passed away August 1, 2025, at her residence. Cecilia was born November 5, 1930, in rural Stephen, Minnesota. She was the firstborn of the late John and Elizabeth (Mager) Woinarowicz. She grew up and attended school in rural Stephen. Cecilia married William H. Teske on October 11, 1949, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Stephen, Minnesota. She lived most of her life on their farm in rural Grafton until 1997. She treasured farming with William. Following their retirement, they built a home in Grand Forks, living there until 2023. Cecilia’s last three years were spent at Edgewood Vista Assisted Living Center. Cecilia was an active member of the St. Stanislaus Church and Altar Society of Warsaw N.D., and a lifetime member of the Living Rosary Society for over fifty years. After she moved to Grand Forks, she joined the St. Michael's Parish and Altar Society. Cecilia had a passion and talent for gardening, sewing, and cooking. She also created and gifted many beautiful rosaries, instructing her recipients to join her in praying daily. She proclaimed that her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her greatest gift, pride and joy. She was a prayer warrior, always encouraging faith development and practice. She saw education as a priority and strongly encouraged scholastic achievements. Cecilia is survived by her children, Carol (Larry) Kuether of Dickinson, N.D., Jane (Terry) Powers of Sandy, Utah, Gail Teske (Craig Hartenstein) of Stevenson Ranch, California and Dennis F. Teske (Craig Baehr) of Glendale, Arizona. She is also survived by her daughter-in–law, Debra Teske Mackay (Ian), twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, five godchildren, five brothers, and seven sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William, son, Donald W., two brothers, three sisters, and special niece, Lois Miller. Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2025, in St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Grand Forks, ND. Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 4, 2025, with a 4:30 p.m. Recitation of the Rosary and 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service in the Historic Norman Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the liturgy in the church on Tuesday. Burial: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery, Warsaw, ND.
